Year-End Campaign
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:1-2
Dear Faithful Supporters of Lansing Christian School,
Happy almost 2025!
As we get ready to welcome the month of January, I once again get to take to my computer and pen the thoughts and words that reflect on the beauty of LCS. It really is an honor and a privilege to be able to share with you.
At the beginning of this school year, as a part of our Teaching for Transformation program, we had each of our teachers determine a “deep hope” – a desire they have – to see within their classroom.
There are photos and “deep hopes” sprinkled throughout this letter, showing the beauty of the students you are impacting at LCS. Words express a lot, but images are just as important. Each student belongs here. They are precious. They are seen, known, and loved at LCS.
And we are a people of deep hope in Jesus, our King. We acknowledge that He is holy (Psalm 99:3), merciful (Psalm 103:8), and powerful (Isaiah 41:10). He is our shepherd (Psalm 23:1), our protector (Psalm 33:20), our rock (Psalm 18:2), our anchor (Hebrews 6:19-20), and our defender (Exodus 15:2). Most importantly, He is our Savior (John 4:42).
Reflections on LCS:
- Being a part of the LCS family is the whole package. It’s the focus on God and His Word. It’s the history, the legacy. It’s the students. It’s the teachers. It’s the support staff. It’s the alumni. It’s the volunteers. It’s YOU. It’s all the things combined that make this Christian school so incredibly beautiful.
- The pastor chats are a gift to our students and our staff. Pastors visiting, dropping in for lunch with their classroom, sharing in devotional time -- all these things are truly a gift for each of our students.
- LCS has a long history of support from our Christian churches and community. The care and compassion we see from people like yourselves -- those who love deeply and give, whether of time or money -- is something for which I am daily thankful. You impact the students you see within my letter and many more!
- We point our students to the cross. It is nothing in and of ourselves that we have done. Jesus paid it all – and because He conquered the grave -- those who confess Him as Lord & Savior will live with Him forever. How beautiful it is for our students to know and understand this!
As I reflect, this letter is also my opportunity to say “thank you”. You continue to support us as we focus on our mission of teaching and training our students, helping them grow to their fullest potential, and preparing them for lives of service in the Kingdom of God.
What greater investment can you make than investing in the future of the next generation?
We value your continued partnership. As we get ready to close out 2024, would you prayerfully consider including us in your end-of-year giving? We are looking to raise $120,000 in our Year-End Campaign. Would you help us reach, or possibly exceed, that goal?
We hope to get a strong start to our Year-End Campaign on Giving Tuesday (December 3)! Keep an eye on social media and on your email, as we desire to raise $25,000 in ONE DAY to support the needs of our school. Thank you for showing your love for LCS in incredible ways and for praying for us.
