Year-End Campaign

Dear Faithful Supporters of Lansing Christian School,
2023 here we come! Once we hit December, we have just one more flip of the calendar page. The fall semester is always a busy time, and this one is no different. 2022 has passed by in a whirlwind.
One of the things I love most about the year-end appeal is that I have opportunity to share an update with you.
We are seeing God’s hand in all things. He is truly our WAY MAKER, our MIRACLE WORKER, our PROMISE KEEPER, our LIGHT in the darkness.
And the truth of the matter is…He isn’t finished with us yet. He still has an amazing plan for Lansing Christian School. And I am so excited to be a part of it.
Our school is moving forward in all the ways that we had hoped and desired, and we can’t help but thank our miracle-working God.
We are continuing to see God’s hand and majesty in all things. He is truly walking alongside us and before us as we navigate through this school year – as He has in the past.
And right now, I can be honest, what we are seeing is AMAZING.

What is New:
- Seven new teachers, a new principal, and a new director of dual language are fulfilling our need for educators within our school. We are fully staffed for our 2022-2023 school year! In a teacher-hiring shortage year, we are incredibly grateful for this gift.
- We have 91 families, and of those families, we have 34 new families with 39 new students.
- We have new After-School programs. Kids are able to participate in Chess Club, STEM & 3D Club, and Drawing Club. We have approximately 20 kids in each after-school class. This was a part of our Fall Festival Raise-the-Paddle, and the students are benefiting from it in a big way!
We have been wise with our previous gifts:
- Over $58,000 was raised with our Summer Appeal to help with our operating costs. Thank you to all those who have shown their love for Lansing Christian through financial giving, especially in the last year.
- Our Steak Fry and Fall Festival & Auction were incredibly successful events. We are humbled by your generosity. Both of these fundraisers brought in our friends and family, and it was a wonderful outpouring of love and support.
- Our Golf Outing was once again a success! We had over 100 golfers at the beautiful Lost Marsh Golf Course in mid-July. The weather was perfect, and this fundraiser generated over $17,000.
- Our Fall Auction Raise-the-Paddle 2021 allowed us to get our field rolled and seeded (to all those who supported us, our field looks amazing). The field is used so very often. Thank you!
- Our Giving Tuesday funds from last year afforded us a new playground set, which will be installed, Lordwilling, this coming Spring 2023.
What our needs are:
- We appreciate prayer. We desire to have more students enter our doors. Pray for our Enrollment Associates as they are at work – sharing about LCS and encouraging families to send their children to a Christian school – knowing that this will balance what their children are learning in the home and in their church.
- We appreciate financial support. We cannot do this without you. We live in a world where narratives of chaos and division dominate, but people are re-awakening to the need for Christian education. With your financial support, we are able to enter together into this great work. And this allows us to truly serve those who need us: our children.
This year, we desire to see $200,000 come in for this year-end appeal. Will you prayerfully consider partnering with us? We would love to have your support as we move forward into 2023.
