“My family and I have been so radically blessed by the experiences of four of our children at LCS. The community there is rich, diverse, and life-giving. It is an intimate community. It is the earnest prayer of my heart that the Lord would encourage those who He desires with these words and challenge those who He desires with these words also.
The teachers at LCS have put forth incredible work in tilling the soil of the hearts of the children at LCS. With small class sizes, they are able to intimately pour into the kids in ways that simply wouldn’t be possible with classes that were double, triple or quadruple in size. Simple things like taking an idea and turning it into something the whole school can get behind and fan into flame.
Our youngest child is in first grade in Mrs. Tempelman’s class. They came up with an idea about creating their own band called “Robot Monkeys”. It started as just something that the class could enjoy, but Mrs. Tempelman fostered it organically, and let it grow into something in which the entire school was able to cheer them on as they performed. This is a beautiful example of the fruit that I’m talking about in LCS. It gives us a foretaste of the beauty of the Kingdom of God.
The Lord has LCS planted in Lansing, Illinois for a reason. Those that remain are beautifully faithful and life-giving, and I am so proud to be a part of this community. This remnant is healthy, strong and deepening its roots as it remains rooted in the community.” – Matthew & Kristy Princehorn
